For decades, the dominant assumption in many mainline Protestant churches has been that serious spiritual formation happens in childhood and adolescence — that adults, having been confirmed or baptized, are essentially finished products. Geneva's most forward-thinking congregations are challenging that assumption directly, building adult discipleship pathways that meet people where they actually are and take seriously the truth that spiritual growth does not have an age limit.
